Question : Jim's wife Belinda runs the rare stamps section of the business and conducts much of the business through the post. On Monday, she wrote separate letters to two of her regular customers, Eddie and Joseph, offering to sell them some rare stamps for $1500. Eddie received Belinda's letter at 5 pm on Tuesday and immediately posted a letter of acceptance to Belinda on Wednesday at 9 am. Joseph also received Belinda's letter of offer on Tuesday, and went to Belinda's shop at 10 am on Wednesday and happily bought the rare stamps. On Thursday, Belinda received Eddie's letter of acceptance and consequently, Belinda telephoned Eddie and informed him that she had already sold the stamps to Joseph. Eddie is certain that he is entitled to the stamps.

Is Eddie correct to say that he is entitled to the stamps by arguing that his letter of acceptance was effective?

Answer: Belinda runs the rare stamps section of the business and conducted much of the business through the post. Belinda sends the letter by post to regular customers Eddie and Joseph and tells him about the rare stamps for $1500. Eddie and Joseph both receive the letter from Belinda. Eddie immediately sends the offer of acceptance to Belinda and sends the letter in the next early morning on the other side Joseph visited the shop the next day early morning after receiving the letter and happily bought the rare stamps. Unfortunately the acceptance of Eddie receives the day after tomorrow from Belinda's letter but the stamps are sold to joseph.

The business has the rare rule of first come first serve and In case the same scenarios are happening with Belinda's rare post. Belinda wrote a letter to both Eddie and Joseph but the stamps are sold that the one who comes first and response quickly. Joseph happily bought that stamps because he visited the shop personally and the Eddies letter of acceptance Belinda receives the next day after selling the stamps.

So there is no argument is well with Belinda for waiting for the acceptance letter and sold based on the letter. Belinda sold the stamps who come first in the shop.

The term covers a large and diverse body of processes. Many oxidation-reduction reactions are as common and familiar as fire, the rusting and dissolution of metals, the browning of fruit, and respiration and photosynthesis—basic life functions.  Oxidation is the  gain  of oxygen. Reduction is the  loss  of oxygen. Most oxidation-reduction (redox) processes involve the transfer of oxygen atoms, hydrogen atoms, or electrons, with all three processes sharing two important characteristics: (1) they are coupled in any oxidation reaction a reciprocal reduction occu...
